A New Idea for Pallet Flow Rail Stops!
The Problem with Traditional Stops
For operations that handle a high volume of pallets using flow rail systems, workers often have problems with pallet retrieval due to the design of the safety stop.
Pallet flow rail systems currently use a steep-angled stop at the end of the flow rack line to keep pallets from accidentally rolling or sliding into the aisle. While effective in its core purpose, the stop creates a barrier for easy removal that requires the worker to lift the pallet up and then drag it over the stop’s blunt edge. The rough, unpredicatible nature of this action can create a health and safety issue.
Ashland Has a Better Idea!
Ashland’s SafetyPro features a UHMW roller with spring-loaded puck to supply consistent drag to a specific torque, the roller acts as a stop, then facilitates an easier “up and over” pallet removal through its rolling action. The worker spends less time and physical effort to remove the pallet, which increases overall productivity and can reduce potential lifting injuries.
Working with a well-kown nationwide
material handling operation, Ashland's engineers
created a better idea for pallet flow rail stops.
Traditional safety stops create a lifting challenge for workers trying to remove pallets from the flow rail system.
SafetyPro supports the worker's removal effort with its “lift and pull” rolling action.
